		<description>Kim, Good question.  I don&#039;t see any way that you can configure Skype to start screen sharing automatically.  As you note, it can start video automatically, but I can&#039;t see anywhere to start the screen sharing automatically.  The good news is that the buttons have changed so that they are right above the video window and are VERY clear.  So your mother would just need to click the Screen Sharing button and it would start.

I would note, too, that this screen sharing feature is &quot;sharing&quot; in a view-only mode.  You could not &quot;operate&quot; your mother&#039;s mac remotely.  You could *see* her Mac&#039;s screen, but you couldn&#039;t do anything there.  It&#039;s not a &quot;remote desktop&quot; kind of tool.  Just viewing.  I have found it quite useful to show people what&#039;s on my screen and demonstrate various applications and such... but *I* am the one operating my Mac.
