Dan York recently purchased a Blue Eyeball USB webcam and in this episode provides an initial review of the portable webcam and shows a video comparison of the Eyeball to his Mac’s built-in iSight camera.

    Thanks for recording and sharing this test, Dan. I thought the quality was pretty good with the Blue Eyeball. However, the audio/video seemed a little out of synch, compared to the footage you shot with the iSight. Do you see it?

    Donna,

    Yes, I need to re-do that sometime and better control the variables. The frame rate changed when I switched to the Eyeball, and the white balance changed a bit… both items I could have controlled with lighting or settings, had I noticed them. The result is that the podcast is not exactly an “apples-to-apples” comparison.
