		<description>For a slightly older population (college age), I can corroborate students' dislike of e-mail.  It seems to be associated with "adults" and is viewed as an overly "formal" media.  Guess that has more to do with how us "old folk" developed the norms of that media.

The preference for landlines I find surprising.  That's certainly not been our experience on campus.  Of course, in most cases, this is a "shared" media in students' rooms.  Perhaps that's the real issue.

I also wonder about the poll itself.  I notice is was based on a telephone survey.  Could the polling mechanism have skewed the result?</description>
