If you picked up one of the newspapers yesterday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and turned to page 3, you would have seen Voxeon Michael Codini staring back at you! Here’s the image we were sent (click on it to see a larger version):

Not knowing Arabic, I don’t have a clue what it’s saying… but Michael tells me he was over there at an event last week supporting and celebrating the launch of 2Share Emerging Technology Holding Co., a partner of ours committed to bringing speech technology and Unified Self-Service to the Middle East region. This half-page ad is 2Share’s way of thanking all the organizations involved in their launch. We were delighted to be invited to be part of the event by 2Share CEO Mansour Al Obaid and definitely appreciate the recognition in yesterday’s paper. We look forward to more visits to the region and to helping a partner in the region grow!

Hey, if Apple can make a big deal about their new ads, why can’t we?

Well, okay, so our new ads aren’t video… they aren’t on TV… they don’t feature a “x versus y” theme… and even with over 30,000 members of our developer community, that doesn’t even come close to the millions of fanboys (and fangirls) who will watch the Apple ads!

Still, we thought we’d share the new ads with you. As you can see, the main focus is on www.voxeo.com/free, our landing page that introduces people to both our hosted platform and our premise-based Prophecy software and let’s them easily choose one or the other.

Let us know what you think… which do you like better? (Both are in use.) Do you have any other suggestions?
