We are looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer with significant experience in IVR technology to expand our Engineering Team in Cologne.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Design, create and maintain reports for multiple BI vendor tools as part of our Analyzer product
• Design, develop, maintain and augment the database schema for our Infostore product
• Work closely with our globally distributed set of engineers to integrate with other product components
• Work closely with our Support team to help customers gain maximum benefit from our products

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field such as computer science
• At least two years of practical experience with at least one, preferably several, of the major BI tools (BusinessObjects, Microstrategy, Cognos, Oracle BI)
• At least 2 years of practical experience in one or more of the leading databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2) in a Data Warehouse environment
• Excellent SQL knowledge including performance tuning
• Programming experience with Java or script languages such as Python is a definite plus

Since this seems to be the week I post about new open positions (which is a wonderful thing to post about), we have two more openings to mention, both in our office in Cologne, Germany. They were recently posted to our Voxeo Germany site and are visible here:

The first test of whether you can qualify for the positions is naturally whether or not you can read them, as they are entirely auf Deutsch. Google Translate won’t help you here, though, because of course you have to interview with our German office and team in German. (And, as noted, these positions are in our Cologne office.)

• Perform other tasks, roles and responsibilities as required in the Customer Experience Group. This can include Proposal creation or product demonstrations, and Customer and Partner Training.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in technical project management
• Experience in project management methodologies and processes
  • PMP desired but not required
• Hands on experience in IVR technology (including VoiceXML, VoIP and SIP)
• Strong Telco background and system integration experience
• Knowledge in Voxeo products such as Prophecy and VoiceObjects preferred
• Self-motivated individual with a strong desire to learn new technologies
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Fluent in English – additional foreign languages preferred
